Drawing - Watercolor & Ink
(on rag paper)
This drawing, like so many of Maxwell's figure drawings, subdues the recognizable form - uses its parts as pieces in a puzzle, with those shapes which allude to "space" having equal importance with those alluding to the human form. In one sense, this drawing could be a "fragment" of a plenum, within which all elements enjoy equilibrium.
